Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Taught by Maestro ("the Service," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Taught by Maestro is an AI-powered music education platform that delivers interactive lessons through AI personas inspired by the documented teachings and philosophies of historical musicians. The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial educational use.
Responses generated by the Service are produced by artificial intelligence and are not statements made by any real person, living or deceased. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for certain situations. You are responsible for evaluating the appropriateness of any content you receive.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a user is under 13, we will promptly delete their account and data.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at hello@taughtbymaestro.com if you suspect unauthorized use. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized account access that you failed to report.
Taught by Maestro is offered on a subscription basis:
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file for the applicable subscription fee at the start of each renewal period. Prices may change with 30 days' advance notice.
All fees are stated in US dollars and are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as described in Section 5.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at hello@taughtbymaestro.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to the Service until that date. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of a billing period, except where required by law.
If you experience a technical error that prevents access to the Service for a sustained period, contact us and we will work to resolve the issue or provide a credit at our discretion.

Taught by Maestro is not a mental health service. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of self-harm, or a medical emergency, please contact emergency services (911 in the US) or a crisis line (988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline: call or text 988; Crisis Text Line: text HOME to 741741) immediately. The Service is not equipped to provide crisis support and should not be used as a substitute for professional mental health care.
All content, design, software, and technology comprising the Service — including the AI personas, system architecture, visual design, and branding — are the property of Taught by Maestro or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (such as uploaded recordings or images). By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TAUGHT BY MAESTRO AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
